By using QuickFix Books website and services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
Service Description
QuickFix Books provides remote troubleshooting and repair services for QuickBooks Desktop software. We do not sell software, licenses, or accounting services. We are not affiliated with Intuit Inc.
Pricing
- Software fixes: $250 flat fee per issue
- Hardware diagnosis: $75 (if the issue is not software-related)
- Payment is due after the fix is confirmed working
- If we cannot fix the issue, there is no charge for the software fix
What Is Included
The $250 flat fee covers:
- Remote diagnosis of the reported QuickBooks error
- Repair of the immediate software or environment issue
- Basic guidance on avoiding the same issue in the future
What Is Not Included
- QuickBooks software licenses or subscriptions
- Data recovery from severely corrupted files (we will assess and advise)
- Hardware repair or replacement
- Network rewiring or infrastructure upgrades
- Ongoing IT support or monitoring after the fix
Remote Access
To perform repairs, we require remote access to the affected computer. You must:
- Be present during the session or have an authorized employee present
- Have backup power and a stable internet connection
- Close sensitive applications or data unrelated to the QuickBooks issue
Data and Backups
- You are responsible for maintaining current backups of your company file before the session
- We may create an additional backup during the repair as a precaution
- We do not retain copies of your company file after the session ends
Limitation of Liability
QuickFix Books liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service. We are not liable for:
- Lost profits, data loss, or business interruption
- Issues arising from pre-existing file corruption or hardware failure
- Problems caused by third-party software or Windows updates after our fix
Guarantee
If the same error returns within 7 days of the repair through no fault of your own, we will re-diagnose and fix it at no additional charge. This guarantee does not cover:
- New errors unrelated to the original issue
- Errors caused by system changes you made after the repair
- Recurring issues that require infrastructure changes we recommended
Cancellation
You may cancel or reschedule your appointment with at least 4 hours notice. No-shows without notice may be charged a $50 rescheduling fee.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be resolved in Sonoma County, California.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. The current version will always be posted on this page.
